Outdoor Wedding at Tralee in Caledon
I need to start this post off with Katherine + Grant's proposal story. It's just SO THEM. Easy going + spontaneous.
From Grant's point of view:
I had a Custom ring made up months prior to asking her to marry me, and when it was ready I had different plans of incredible romantic gestures but on a typically Tuesday night, the ring was burning a hole in my pocket. We were sitting on our front porch which was very sunny, as our cat Alex stretched out to sunbathe on the warm concrete patio I couldn't wait any longer and asked her right there.
From Katherine's point of view:
It was Tuesday June 2, 2015. We were sitting on our balcony after the work day. The sun was going down and looked so pretty. Grant was talking to me about his blood test results from his tick bite and how he was nervous about it all. Then he just kept saying he just couldn't wait...and I was like...what can't you wait for? Your next set of tests?? You will be fine G! Haha. I had a bug bite on my knee and was like look...I have a bug bite and I am fine. But he kept being like I just can't wait and I was sooo confused. Then all of a sudden, I see him pull out a box. He opens it and this sparkly thing is in it and I said "WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT???!!!" haha. (sidenote from me, Sara..I LOVE that she swore!!) Seriously, I was soooo surprised. Then he just said nice things to me...honestly my mind went blank. I know somewhere in there I was like...well get down on one knee (we were sitting in chairs) then he got down and just asked and of course I said YES!!!! Then I hugged and squished him and kissed his eyes (it's a weird thing I do) and then we just embraced each other on the balcony. Then grabbed Alex and started taking pictures with him and of each other on the balcony to capture the moment. I was just perfect.
I had THE BEST time documenting their relationship. When we adventured around Schomberg for their engagement session, we decided to trespass into a field for some sunset photos. Then, all of a sudden, horses started walking up to us and surrounded us! It was MAGICAL! You can see that HERE!
Then came their wedding day. Just as I expected, I was surrounded by positive, easy-going souls! At no point did I feel any stressed out vibes. Even when Katherine's nephew threw up on her mom, no big deal, just laughs! When the sound system didn't work just before their ceremony at Tralee, someone offered their truck so that they could blast music through there! And it worked! Even when dark clouds were slowly creeping up towards the ceremony, Katherine was full of nervous giggles!
Thank you Katherine + Grant for putting your trust in me. I'm grateful to have been the one to document your relationship and the relationships between you and all your family + friends! SO excited for you guys to see all these!!

Seriously how cute is Katherine!? Katherine's little nephew :) I love that they have pictures posted on their fridge like this! Their cat Alex was hiding from all the commotion! Hattie got emotional when Katherine read the card from Grant!Bracelet by the amazing Hattitude Jewels! The guys just being guys.. :)Practicing their mother-son dance for later :) Parents being parents. Even cleaning on their son's wedding day! haha I looooove old school photos displayed in home like this!Sorry guys for making you snuggle in 35 degree weather lol..that's what the are laughing about over here. They asked me if we could take an old school portrait...HECK YEA!It was 35 degree weather..in MAY! Kath was using their air vent to her benefit lol Melvin! <3 Young lad charming the grandmas + aunts LOL Katherine arriving/waiting in the car at Tralee in Caledon with the bridesmaids for the sound system to be fixed. Pretty oriental fans for a HOT spring day lol Sound problem fixed. Car doors open and speakers turned alll the way up! How beautiful was their ceremony at Tralee Wedding Facility in Caledon!? Grant is an avid rock climber, so naturally they had to "tie the knot" with rock climbing rope!Seriously how cute are these two!? I loved being to get this perspective. I wanted Kath + Grant to remember what the ceremony looked like from their perspective. This is why outdoor ceremonies are THE BEST! I was driving off to go to the reception, and I noticed them walking on their own from where the ceremony was (long after it was dismantled) and I totally sniped this one without them knowing :) They have a slight obsession with sunglasses :) Kath embarrassed about some sort of comment during a speech lol
