It was such a fun adventure to shoot Jess + Kyle’s Algonquin camping wedding! I LOVED the chill vibe of the whole day and how connected they got to be with each other, family + friends, and nature throughout the day in this grounding + relaxed atmosphere.

The day was a full circle moment for them because when they first started dating, they spent SO much of their time together hiking and exploring the nature Algonquin has to offer :) They had their ceremony on the Barron Canyon Trail overlooking the Canyon, which was so magical! And later they had their dinner + party chill time at Achray Campground. Their first dance was on the beach there and I love the fact that as soon as it got dark, everyone changed into their cozies and hung out by the fire.

As a documentary wedding photographer who adores capturing these real, unposed moments, this day was a dream. The way Jess + Kyle embraced the outdoors and made their wedding so personal is exactly what I love about storytelling wedding photography in Ontario. There’s just something about a camp wedding or elopement that lets people truly be themselves—no pressure, just pure connection and joy.

A memorable day for sure, and I definitely would LOVE to document more camp weddings and elopements!
