Haliburton Ontario Cottage Wedding I Dinah + Jake
Okay, I have to say it—Dinah + Jake’s cottage wedding in Haliburton was the definition of a dream day! From the second I arrived, I was surrounded by nature, blue skies, and the happiest, most laid-back crew you could imagine. This is why I adore being a Muskoka wedding photographer—because days like this are what it’s all about!
The morning was all about good vibes. Jake and his groomsmen skipped the traditional “getting ready” routine and just hung out on the dock, sharing drinks, playing guitar, and soaking up the sun. I suggested we keep it super chill and candid, and I’m SO happy he went for it. The result? The most authentic, documentary wedding photographer moments that totally capture the spirit of their friendship and the cottage.
Dinah’s side was just as heartfelt. The Kabalat Panim was filled with laughter, stories, and so many happy tears. I caught this one shot of hands intertwined that just says it all—so much love! The Tisch with the guys was equally fun, with everyone just being themselves and enjoying the moment. Their first look in the forest? My jaw dropped! It was so intimate and beautiful, with sunlight filtering through the trees and butterflies fluttering by.
Family photos turned into a party as guests arrived and couldn’t resist jumping in for hugs and happy reunions. I LIVE for these spontaneous, storytelling wedding photography moments! The ceremony by the water was full of meaning, with Dinah + Jake standing under the chuppah, surrounded by their favourite people. Their exit through a tunnel of canoe paddles was the cutest thing ever—definitely one of my favourite wedding venue photographs in Muskoka shots!
After the ceremony, the HORA brought the energy up to a whole new level—dancing, laughter, and the kind of candid wedding photos in Ontario that make my heart sing. Dinner was a relaxed buffet under the stars, with speeches that had everyone in stitches (and a few tears, too). As the sun set, I snuck Dinah + Jake away for some intimate wedding photography in Ontario, capturing those quiet, golden moments just for them. The night ended with s’mores by the fire—pure cottage wedding perfection.
