Family Home Kingston Wedding I Vanessa + Liz
From the very first moment Vanessa + Liz locked eyes on their wedding day, I just knew this was going to be one for the books! There was this warm, sun-soaked energy in the air, and honestly, my heart was already doing little happy dances. When I entered their family home in Kingston, Ontario it was full of relaxed vibes, laughter, and the sweetest little babies toddling around. I could feel right away that everyone was there to soak up the love, be present, and just have a genuinely good time.
The day kicked off with Vanessa and Liz surrounded by their closest people, all sharing stories, giggles, and those little moments that make you want to bottle up the feeling forever. What I loved most? They decided to do all their wedding party and family photos before the ceremony. (Genius move, right?!) This meant that after their heartfelt “I do’s,” they could dive straight into cocktail hour and actually hang out with their guests—no FOMO, just pure joy and connection. And the way they walked down to the ceremony together? LOVE! I made sure to capture every angle—from behind, from the front, and all the reactions in between (see the start of the ceremony photos below!).
Their ceremony was a total emotional rollercoaster—in the best way. Vanessa and Liz’s vows were this perfect mix of heartfelt, hilarious, and deeply moving. After the ceremony, the whole vibe just kept building. The cocktail hour was filled with hugs, clinking glasses, and the kind of candid moments that make my job as a documentary wedding photographer in Ontario an absolute dream. The reception? Oh my gosh, it was next-level fun! They made their entrance to an epic song that was full of energy, and the speeches had everyone in stitches one minute and wiping away happy tears the next. And then—get this—Vanessa and Liz grabbed the band’s guitars and started pretend-playing along to the DJ’s music while the band took a quick break. It was SO them: playful, spontaneous, and totally in the moment. I live for these authentic wedding moments!
Throughout their day, the way natural light was streaming through the trees, the relaxed backyard setup, and the way everyone just felt at home—it was the perfect backdrop for natural wedding photography in Ontario. Every detail, from the wildflower-inspired florals to the unposed wedding pictures, told the story of who Vanessa and Liz are: fun-loving, genuine, and absolutely made for each other. As a candid wedding photographer in Ontario, I couldn’t have asked for a more joyful, intimate, and real celebration.
