Today, I’m beyond excited to take you on a journey through this stunning Eaton Hall wedding in King City! Benita + Allen’s day was a total dream, filled with a citrus-inspired twist and so much genuine love. As a Toronto documentary wedding photographer, I live for days like this where the energy is just 10/10 and every moment feels like a scene from a movie!
Picture this: Allen and his best friends kicking off the morning at a light-filled Airbnb, but not in the typical way! Instead of just suiting up, they were busy prepping a full DJ station for the after-party! I knew right then we would get along like a house on fire because they were blasting Fred again.. and the vibes were already soaring! Watching Allen practice his hobby of DJing just before getting ready with his groomsmen and their precious dog was such a cool, personal touch. As a Toronto wedding photographer, I’m always looking for those unique moments that result in the best unposed wedding pictures Toronto has to offer!
Cue the short drive over to the historic Eaton Hall, where Benita was getting ready. The energy was so light, playful, and just plain FUN! I was OBSESSED with how open and authentic everyone was. I caught the sweetest, most tender moments, like Benita’s emotional first look with her mom and a super cute moment where she helped her nephew make sure his hair was looking sharp for the big day! It’s these little depths of personality that make my photographer heart sing and truly define what it means to be a documentary wedding photographer. I’m all about those candid wedding photos in Toronto that tell the real story!
Then came the big moment—the first look! Seeing Benita and Allen lock eyes for the first time was pure magic, and of course, their beloved dog had to join in for the portrait session! We wandered the stunning grounds of Eaton Hall, which literally feels like you’re getting married in a CASTLE by the water with so much lush green space. It is easily one of the most breathtaking spots for wedding venue photography in Ontario! Soon, it was time for their outdoor ceremony under the gorgeous, warm sunshine. They even provided cute umbrellas for guests to stay cool—such a thoughtful and chic touch! I even managed to snag an epic drone shot from above that looked straight out of a movie!
But wait, there's more! After the "I dos," the couple transitioned into a traditional Korean ceremony. It was such an incredible, vibrant, and meaningful experience to witness and document—the colors and the traditions were just next level! You might ask, "Why choose a documentary-style wedding photographer in Toronto?" and this is exactly why—to capture the seamless blend of cultures and raw emotions as they happen! Then, we headed into the reception space, and my jaw hit the floor!
Oh, the food at Eaton Hall – so yummy and the atmosphere was just perfection! The room was flooded with natural light, perfectly highlighting their citrus-inspired decor. I loved the stunning yellow and light blue details everywhere; it felt so fresh and perfectly captured that summer energy! For couples looking for wedding photographers in Southern Ontario, this venue is a total gem. The night was filled with so much laughter and dancing, it was truly the best celebration ever!
